Keep Your Website Current

  • Keep the copyright year at the bottom of your page current. If you have been around for a while, show a range of years (e.g., "Copyright © 2001-2006").

  • Update your website content on a regular basis.

  • Do not use old technology such as frames, blinking text, animated GIFs, etc.

  • Do not use blinking text or images; in addition to being unprofessional and outdated, these only serve to distract.

  • Avoid using words or phrases such as "click here".

  • Have a modern look and feel without being overly trendy.
